Kitchen Update- Late Nights and Laughter

Trey and I decided we needed to get new matching appliances...isn't that how the story always starts. In the end, we got new countertops, new sink, faucet and we tiled our backsplash too. When we decided to replace the backsplash we thought we would just pop the tiles off and put the new ones up. We ended up having to take the wall down and redo the drywall - the tiles wouldn't come off! We stayed up until 3am a couple of nights and finally got it done. We both agree that it was worth all the work. We also need to thank Bart and my dad for helping out along the way.

Big Boy Bed Challenges

Last week William started climbing out of his baby bed and so we went out and purchased his first "big boy bed". In this picture you can see the side effects of not sleeping much. He was literally sleeping while eating his yogurt. Poor baby was exhausted - so are his parents!

This was right after we got his bed - we actually thought he was going to like it! He has started to adjust a little bit but we sure do miss him sleeping all through the night. We are trying to stand firm and not start sleeping in the bed with him(out of pure exhaustion). So far so good!

23 Months Old

Today William had a great time playing at Walker's house during his first birthday party. The fire truck in this picture sure was a big hit. Happy Birthday Walker!

Our big boy. We are simply proud to be William's parents. Each month that goes by we are more and more amazed at all of his new tricks. He is a complete sponge. He is talking in longer sentences now with more details and expression. It is so hard to believe that he will be two in about three weeks.

Gram Comes To Visit

Diana, William's babysitter, was out this week so Gram came to watch William. William had a great time and we all appreciated her help!

Party at the Park

Last weekend William had a great time at his friend Carter's 3rd B-day. This was the first time William actually got in and enjoyed the bouncy castle. We also had a great time riding the train through the park. William has recently become very interested in trains and this was a fun treat. Thanks Morans!

Hoffmann Lane Faculty Picnic

We had our faculty party last night at Landa Park and this was one of the few moments Trey had where he wasn't preparing the 50+ hamburgers. We were very fortunate to have some cloud cover and a breeze.
This is what William was doing most of the time we were there. I have never let him get quite this filthy and he loved it, of course! He has a nice coat of white dirt from head to toe in this pic.

This is what I did the whole evening...chase after this fast little boy!

Thanks Kristal for helping out with William while I set out the food!

Trey and Bart in action! I sure do owe Trey BIG.

Fun at Land Park

William and I went to check out the new playground equipment at Landa Park yesterday. They have really done a nice job of making a beautiful, functional playground. We are so lucky to live in New Braunfels.

This is what he is always doing - running.
