It's In His Blood

William got some new hunting gear and his first gun from Papa Tom and Mimi for his birthday. It didn't take him long to start enjoying the concept of hunting. He is all ready for his dad to take him to George West.

Here birdie, birdie.
This gun sure makes a fun sound when I push this button.

William's 2nd B-day Party

We had William's 2nd Birthday Party at J&R Gym. He had such a great time with all of his friends. We thank each of you for coming and sharing this big day with us! William received many thoughtful presents and has already started playing with them all.

Day at the Comal Fair

William and I met our friends Leann and Landon at the Comal Country Fair on Friday. The weather was perfect and we had a great time enjoying the animals and riding this fun tractor.
William loved riding the pony. This is the one thing that he keeps talking about days after our trip.

This sweet boy came over to William to help prevent any chicks from being strangled. William hasn't quite gotten the concept of being gentle to the tiny animals.
We were able to catch the tractors pulling into the fair after the parade. The boys enjoyed their own private parade of antique tractors - they loved it!
No fear - William walks right up to the llama and pets its nice fluffy fur.

Look Who's Two

William last year when he turned 1 at the Gristmill
William today when he turned 2 at the Gristmill (Trey and I had to share a lot more of the dessert with him this year)

This is a picture of William doing a front roll on his new bed. I have no idea where he gets this from :)

William and Mommy Weekend

This weekend Trey went hunting in GW and William and I had a great time hanging out. We went to the park and Schlitterbahn. Our bed challenges continued. At about 2:00 this morning I had a visitor crawl in my bed and stick his small feet in my face. We both woke-up around 9:00am. When Trey got home this evening William told him that he missed him - so sweet!

Last trip to Schlitterbahn

Cheese.
Splish, splash!

William and I made our last 2009 trip to Schlitterbahn today. We had a great time playing in our favorite part of the park. It was really nice since there were not very many people. At one point William was the only one on his favorite ship.

Kitchen Update- Late Nights and Laughter

Trey and I decided we needed to get new matching appliances...isn't that how the story always starts. In the end, we got new countertops, new sink, faucet and we tiled our backsplash too. When we decided to replace the backsplash we thought we would just pop the tiles off and put the new ones up. We ended up having to take the wall down and redo the drywall - the tiles wouldn't come off! We stayed up until 3am a couple of nights and finally got it done. We both agree that it was worth all the work. We also need to thank Bart and my dad for helping out along the way.

Big Boy Bed Challenges

Last week William started climbing out of his baby bed and so we went out and purchased his first "big boy bed". In this picture you can see the side effects of not sleeping much. He was literally sleeping while eating his yogurt. Poor baby was exhausted - so are his parents!

This was right after we got his bed - we actually thought he was going to like it! He has started to adjust a little bit but we sure do miss him sleeping all through the night. We are trying to stand firm and not start sleeping in the bed with him(out of pure exhaustion). So far so good!

23 Months Old

Today William had a great time playing at Walker's house during his first birthday party. The fire truck in this picture sure was a big hit. Happy Birthday Walker!

Our big boy. We are simply proud to be William's parents. Each month that goes by we are more and more amazed at all of his new tricks. He is a complete sponge. He is talking in longer sentences now with more details and expression. It is so hard to believe that he will be two in about three weeks.

Gram Comes To Visit

Diana, William's babysitter, was out this week so Gram came to watch William. William had a great time and we all appreciated her help!
