Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn't know you had, and dealing with fears you didn't know existed. ~Linda Wooten~

Visit With Powell's
William got to meet his cousins, Madison and Sydney, in San Antonio yesterday at Jim and Arlene's house. They live in Virginia and are in Texas for their summer vacation. I hear they have been doing a lot of shopping and we might be taking a trip to the outlet mall soon.
Gram(Trey's Mom), Aunt Michelle (Trey's sister) and Aunt Cely (Trey's Mom's sister)
Thanks Aunt Michelle, Uncle Chris, Sydney and Madison for the cool car book!

Brock's Birthday Party
On Saturday William attended his friend Brock's 2nd birthday party at Gymboree. Trey and I were expecting William to be too young to participate and much to our surprise William tried everything in the gym. Crawled through tunnels...
....tried to catch the sugar bubbles.
Attempted the slide, with a little assistance from Dad. He even tried to get on some of the toys for the older kids. Trey and I were worn out after chasing him around (we can only image what will happen when he isn't crawling - we better get in shape). He had a great time and was also exhausted when the party was over.

Trip To Children's Museum
William and I met a couple of friends at the McKenna Children's Museum in New Braunfels this morning. William enjoyed many of the various exhibits. This is a very neat museum for children of all ages and I can't wait for him to get a little older so that he can enjoy more of the educational exhibits. Playing with velcro blocks.
Cooking up a meal in the camping section. He really likes hiding inside and under things like the camping tent that was set-up.
Hanging out with the alligators.
Exploring the dark caves.

July 4th at Port Mansfield
Cousin Kate helped watch William while Trey and I went fishing.
William loves being outside and really enjoyed watching the boats and birds go by from the deck in the marina.
After days of rain Trey and I went fishing with "Captain Tom" and caught a bunch of fish. A huge storm came while we were on the water and we headed back to the marina for about an hour and then headed back out for a very peaceful afternoon on the bay. 4th of July Sunset - We watched the fireworks after the sun went down.

First Airplane Ride
Unloading at the San Antonio Airport before our big adventure. William and I flew down to Harlingen and were picked up by MiMi (my Mom) and taken to Port Mansfield for the 4th of July. Trey drove down to George West on Thursday after work and rode with my Dad. This quick plane ride sure was nice.
William slept most of our 39 minute flight to Harlingen. Quick and easy!....
He found plenty of new territory to explore while we waited for our flight.
